PINWHEELS FOR PEACE PROJECT
The Pinwheels for Peace project was a fun school-wide project. The entire school colored and folded paper pinwheels that were attached to the erasers of pencils with  a pin.  Many middle school advisories helped lower school students make the pinwheels.  The pinwheels were placed near the sign that says Emerson School on the way into the school on September 21st.  Everyone wrote a peace-inspiring message on the back of the pinwheel.
Later they were all taken down and now are lining the hallway from the lower school to middle school. It was a fun project but it was taken down pretty quickly.  September 21st is the United Nations International Day of Peace.
