Rick Riordan

Rick Riordan


Rick Riordan is an author most commonly known for his Percy Jackson Series, but he has written many other fiction novels. He was born on June 5, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, and attended the University of Texas, where he majored in History and English. He taught in several public and private high schools in California and Texas. In 2005 he released The Lightning Thief, the first book of The Percy Jackson & the Olympians Series. The book reached the New York Times Children's Bestseller List. Over 1.2 million copies of the book have been sold. He then released The Sea of Monsters in 2006. Later, he released The Titan's Curse, The Battle of Labyrinth, The Demigod Files, and finally The Last Olympian. His series has become very popular and kids all over the world have begun to read it.
