World Cup Soccer

As most of us know, the world cup is right around the corner. The world wide soccer tournament begins on June 11, 2010. As a soccer player myself I decided to make some predictions as to what the result would be. Since there are so many teams in this great tournament I will begin at the quarter finals.
England will begin competing against Argentina and it will be a hard fought game involving two very strong teams. England will come out the winner with a 1-0 victory. Center midfielder, Frank Lampard will be the only player to score.
A second quarter final game will consist of Brazil playing against Holland. Holland, being a very strong midfield team, will control the whole game and upset Brazil 3-0, and Arjen Robben will have a hat trick.
The third quarter final match will be the U.S.A playing France. U.S.A will surprise the French with an early Jozy Altidore goal but France will come out on top with a 2-1 win. The last quarter final game will be a 4-0 Spain win over Italy, ending Italy’s hopes to once again, become champions.
In the England vs. Holland semi final, England will score 2 goals in the first half, stunning the Dutch side. The Dutch however will come out strong in the second half and score 2 goals to tie it up. Holland will end up winning the game in a shoot-out.
In the France vs. Spain game France and Spain will be tied for the whole game until the last minute. Fernando Torres will score with seconds remaining, sending Spain to the finals.
In the championship game Holland will play beautifully and score 3 quick goals. They will then shut down on defense, let in one goal, but hold strong for a 3-1 victory, winning the World Cup.
